Compassion International

Compassion International's ministry is focused on working holistically with individual children to address their spiritual, economic, social and physical needs. They present every child with an opportunity to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults. Compassion views the church as God's chosen instrument to bring hope to a hurting world and to deliver justice to the poor and oppressed. That's why Compassion works exclusively in partnership with local churches in developing nations to deliver their Child Development Program.

Compassion International has been one of Meck's ministry partners for many years and, as a church, we have sponsored hundreds of children in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Haiti. In a world where more than a billion children live on less than $2 per day, connecting one child with one sponsor is the most strategic way to end child poverty. One of the most rewarding experiences in sponsoring a child can be to travel to the country to meet your sponsored child. Meck's Missions 2.0 staff will be happy to assist you in working with Compassion International to visit your sponsored child.

Through monthly gifts, prayer and letter writing, sponsors invest in the lives of children living in extreme poverty. Children attend church-based child development centers where they receive life-changing opportunities that would otherwise be out of their reach. All Compassion-sponsored children have the opportunity to develop their God-given potential and be released from the poverty that has trapped their families for generations. Your sponsorship will help provide:
