Won by One to Jamaica

For more than a decade, Meck has been sending teams through Won by One to Jamaica in order to serve the community in Harmons. Won by One to Jamaica’s mission is to empower lives by showing the love of Jesus through providing educational opportunities, discipleship, and economic development within the community. 

The main goal of a trip with Won by One is to connect and build relationships with the people of Harmons and to help encourage and empower the community both spiritually and physically. Teams from Meck will engage in a variety of outreach opportunities where they will work alongside Jamaican staff. Some projects may include building houses, taking “faith walks" through the community of Harmons with the purpose of sharing the gospel and encouraging others, working alongside the kids in school to help them learn and stay motivated, and being engaged in and with the community in whatever way may serve them best. 

Many from Meck have attended this trip time and again because the lifestyle and culture of Harmons makes it so easy to want to go back. Teams stay together in the Harmony House, which is in the center of the community in Harmons.
