There's a great passage in the book of Psalms in the Bible: "I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart... I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened" (Psalm 34:1-6). The emphasis of Meet Me Here is that we are called to worship God in the good times and the bad times. One of the most powerful responses we can offer in the face of adversity is an intentional moment of worship. Worshiping God takes the attention off of ourselves and places it on the God who is in control. Our lives are but a scratch in the scope of eternity. Worship puts our minds on God and eternity which silences all of the earthly things that can too easily cripple us.
