Jesus came to earth on an all out rescue mission. His life, death, and resurrection paved a way for us to not only experience eternal life in heaven but also experience life in this world to the fullest. The song "Carry Me" was inspired by a passage in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 46. God makes a very important promise to us all, "Listen to me... You whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you" (Isa. 46:3-4). And then God goes on to say, "Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Where there is no guiding vision - no sense of true north, no sense of where you are going, what you should be doing, the direction you need to take - where there is no real leading of God, then you have nothing keeping you on course.
Vision is about more than faith – it’s about resolve. It’s refusing to be satisfied with the way things are. It’s refusing to say, “Where we are at is okay.”
