In this year-long series, we're discussing the core beliefs of various faith systems throughout the world. We talk about evaluating truth claims, we compare and contrast them with Christianity, and we learn how to build bridges with adherents of other religions.This past Spring we discussed Islam and Judaism. In the summer we tackled The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Jehovah’s Witnesses. This Fall, we’ll wrap up with a study of Eastern religions, contemporary spirituality, and postmodernism.NOTE: This is an online class. The End (Big Picture Bible Study)

The book of Revelation is known to be one of the most intimidating and confusing books of the Bible. But is it really? What's at the heart of this book, and what do we need to understand about it? Join us as we close out The Big Picture Bible Study by examining the way that God ends His book. We'll learn about the end times and how to live in the present, and we'll also circle back to the overarching narrative of the Bible from start to finish.This class is offered at two separate times: Mondays, beginning October 21 at 7 p.m., online (no class on 11/11 or 11/25) Thursdays, beginning October 24 at 10 a.m., in person and live streamed (no class on 11/28) *Participants can also opt to receive the class recordings rather than attend the live classes.NOTE: The Big Picture Bible Study is an in-depth, chronological study of the whole Bible. In its entirety, it comprises 10 separate studies spread out over a two-year time frame. "The End" is the tenth and final study in the series, but new students will get caught up in the first week.

Reclaiming Christmas (Online)

The Christmas season starts earlier and earlier each year, and yet it seems harder and harder to fit in everything we dream of to make it a meaningful season. What if the key to a meaningful Christmas celebration didn't lie in the activities, traditions, and gifts; but in the slow and intentional contemplation of why we celebrate in the first place? Join us (online or in person) as we walk through the history of Advent and how the practice of waiting might offer us the Christmas we have been craving.This class is offered at two separate times: November 14 at 7 p.m. (Online) November 17 at 9:30 a.m. (In Person)
